It’s Never Quite As It Seems

There is a strange magic in the air; I sensed it not long ago, shifting and turning about as it changes directions. Before the new moon, my energies were high, my hopes great. Like the sea, the tidal changes keep me off balance but one thing is for certain. I will never quit dreaming and feeling the magic with every change. Change, that thing we all detest because it brings the strange, the unknown, the chaos, and often the painful. Yet, with each change, no matter dark or light, there is beauty.

So as we embrace the coming of summer, shedding the dregs of a cold winter, remember to take with you winter’s bittersweetness. Without the dark, there is no light.  Take the darkness, mold it and shape it as you dream, using it to fuel your passions for the coming seasons and your dreams.

Less than a day left of the Cart Sale and I’m still finding gems to pick up. Today I am wearing some cute earrings from Poème that are mandalas and come in a range of colors to choose from. Pair them with your favorite bohemian look or some jeans and t-shirt for a little extra charm.

On my back you can see a new tattoo I found from InnerJoy Love Designs called Henna. It’s a beautifully done tattoo that comes with Omega appliers with the option of light or dark depending on how new you want it to look. Classic tattoo layers are also included. For 10L, this is a real steal. I also picked up more nail polish from De’Fient Unicorn. This set is for Maitreya Lara nails only and has a hud with fIve color options for both hands and feet.

For the guys, there’s some nice casual clothing to snatch up. My friend is wearing the shirt from the Faded Denim Weekend set by Dark Water Designs.This set comes with two versions of the shirt, with or without the undershirt, in TMP, 3 fitted mesh, and 3 standard mesh sizes. Shorts come in four mesh sizes. Overall fit was good and the set is set up for mixing and matching with other clothing.

Lastly I am sharing a newer release from Dictatorshop that is currently at ROMP. The Contempo bed is loaded with all of your favorite animations and matching leathers to go with the Contempo line. There are three different options for sale; PG, Adult Vanilla, and Adult Kink. PG version has only the cuddles and snuggles, no adult animations. I’d Howl at Your Beauty Like a Dog in Heat

Lately life has taken me on some twists and turns, some good and some quite painful. Opportunities presented themselves. I took the plunge. Did I land on my feet? Yes. And no.

I could spin a tale about finding love…then losing it. I could write about the heartache and sadness, the pain and emptiness. But you’ve felt it, feel it, know the taste of it in your mouth and the hollowness in your chest where a strange ache never truly dies.

Gradually the pain fades when you’re not paying attention; you hardly notice because you’re so busy trying to distract yourself from the pain. How long has it been since you could breathe freely? When did your smile stop feeling forced? Brief moments of reprieve are then cut short when you remember the pain; it all comes flooding back again. Did it hurt this bad the first time? Is it maybe a little less? How do you know when you’ve healed?

I’ve been reflecting on some of the people that have come into my life recently, how I’ve spent my time with them, my words, my actions and what they’ve said and done. Recent pain has forced me to take a step back to look at what paths lay before me. Should I take the path over here that most would object to? Or do I take the route more often traveled? Do I dare tread on the one my heart is drawn to? Mistakes and lessons lie behind me but I stand at a crossroads again, not ready to make a choice just yet. Not ready to take another step until my feet are planted more firmly on the ground.

For now I work on grounding myself again, building the foundation of my soul until it can withstand any storm. One day I will be myself again. In time I’ll forget the sting. Someday I’ll smile, blow a kiss, and be on my way, flowing like water onto the next path of my journey.

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Life tends to take hold just as I get my groove back. Today I am sharing a piece from February that Dictatorshop released that I was in love with from first glance. I honestly think every woman ought to have a tantra chair in her home. The curving slope is so sensual and elegant and to me it just seems perfect for lounging. Many of the single sits are perfect for staging a surprise for your significant other too. Plenty of cuddles are included for relaxing snuggles. With plenty of adult options, you’ll not be wanting for anything except to relax after a pleasant evening of funtimes.

Another Winter Day Has Come and Gone Away

Sanctuary. Peace. Tranquility. We all have different images that come to mind when we read or hear these words. For some they are tropical beaches with shady palm trees and clear blue water. Someone else might picture a vast forest of various species of trees, some changing with the colors of fall and birds quietly chirping overhead. Perhaps they are sitting indoors, blankets and a cat nestled around oneself, rain or snow falling outside the window.

I’ve found myself searching for peace and quiet lately. The desire for solitude ebbs and flows in me like the tide, changes like the seasons, and never really disappears. Clarity. When I hear this word I inevitably think of snowflakes and crystals. Wouldn’t a more accurate image be water or glass? Maybe. In any case, moments of solitude often bring a sense of clarity that is so rejuvenating and enlightening to me. When faced with a problem, only withdrawing from the world and into a book or taking pictures in Secondlife has ever given me true clarity and peace of mind.

For this picture, I decided to play in the snow with some sleds made from Dictatorshop. The bench sled has a combination of both PG and Adult animations set up for all combinations of genders and dominance styles. While the bench sled has the option of cuddles and a nice blanket, the standing sled (also OMNI with all four gender and dominance styles) which is sold separately is more like Dictatorshop’s bondage crosses. Also included with the standing sled is a snowball giver for some added playful winter games. Both sleds have an excellent selection of animations under all of its menus. If you don’t mind a bit of cold weather, these sleds give a new definition to a winter wonderland.

Saying All the Things I’m Thinking…

Hello lovely people! The Cart Sale’s 10th Birthday/Anniversary round is nearing its end but I wanted to share a few more things to find there. All of the creators have really put in a ton of extra effort to make this a special event so don’t miss it before it ends on November 1st!

I have been feeling a little bit sexy lately and this is partly due to the new lingerie set I got from Dark Water Designs. This set is a gacha with babydoll dresses and panties that you can mix and match or if you snag the ultra rare, it is the fatpack of every solid lace and print option. The rares are fatpacks of the solid lace OR the print options. My favorite is the black and gray print version but there are many other pretty options to collect. For this post, my special man is guest starring and he seemed to like this set quite a bit as well. Sizes for this gacha are available for the Maitreya, all three Bellezas, both Slinks, TMP, and Standard bodies. Each pull is only 20L so play have fun playing this gacha and tease your man ladies! Or the fellas can gift them to their special someone too. 😉

Another lovely piece I found at the Cart Sale is from ..::battle fairy::.. and comes in several pattern versions. It fits nicely but careful how you lay, you may want some panties ladies! Mesh models included in each print version are made for Maitreya, all three Bellezas, both Slinks, TMP, and Standard bodies. Standard mesh models come in five sizes. If you’re feeling daring, grab this gem while it is on sale!

Some of the furniture I used in the first photo are from events that have been going on in October. On the wall is a clock from An Lema that I thought was spooky fun and it is one of several items they have at the Cart Sale. Unless you are good at scripting/building, moving it around is a bit tricky because the pendulum seems to only swing on one rotation. For decor though, it suits the mood of the room plenty for me.

I also wanted to share this piece from Dictatorshop that I got in the October Bound Box. The Venus Cubed Ladies Entertainment Center is excellent for teasing, pleasing, and lounging around. While animations are heavily geared towards females, there are still plenty of options for males to enjoy including the couples’ animations. There are not couple’s pg poses except for the dances so keep little ones away from this or tuck it away in your playroom. Textures can be changed via the Dictatorshop logo on the back as well as security options. If you’d like, you can also try adding your own textures to it for more versatility. From Vicarious Youth at the Cart Sale, you’ll find a few Halloween themed outfits. Some are matching for moms and their little girls, some are for teens or adults.  The outfit I’m wearing is Resting Witch Face and comes in five standard mesh sizes and mesh models for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink. Bottoms and tops are combined so it’s easy fitting.

On my shoulder is a little Voodoo gacha from =EC Designs= that they made for Cart Sale. Each one is scripted to randomly say something or you can click it to pester it into saying something as well. Voodoo dolls are also customizable if you want them to say something else. Collect them all!

Lastly I want to share another item from =EC Designs= that is at the Cart Sale. For 50L, this piece has a LOT of animations to help you get cozy and comfy for the season. As someone who likes to let out her inner cat, this lounger is purrrfect for curling up with a good book or with your sweetie to enjoy some fresh air. All of these poses are PG so no worries if you have little ones. They may want you to put it in their room too because they can sit on top!

She Gazed with a Loving Beauty

Fall is officially and as many of you know, it is my favorite season. I love the cooler temps, the changing colors on the leaves, everything pumpkin spice, and Halloween! I also really connect with the idea of the life cycle and what this time represents in that cycle. It’s a reminder that all things end but there is still beauty in that ending. Speaking of endings, the Twisted Hunt is fast coming to a close but I wanted to share a little from the hunt which ends September 30.

My friend Myst at Mishmash Fusion is a merchant for the Twisted Hunt and is shop #42 on the hunt path. For this round, she’s made a gorgeous set of outfits for both females and males to wear inspired by the Victorian Goth hunt theme. Ladies can find themselves twirling about in this vision of red and black top/skirt set that together fits like a dress. On the back of the top is a lovely corset lace detail that tastefully shows a bit of skin that I just love. The textures on this outfit, called Remy’s Song, look great especially with advanced lighting on. Sizes included are classic standard mesh sizes XL-XS and fitted models for Maitreya, both Slinks, Belleza bodies, both Tonics, and TMP bodies. Men will find a dashing suit in red and black that comes in classic standard mesh sizes XL-XS and a pair of black shoes to complete the look. The stripes running down the Knives’ Suit are nice and sharp and will have any man feeling tall. Other color variations of both outfits are available in the gacha machines as well as other goodies.

I also wanted to share a new item from Dictatorshop. The Driftwood Swing is a lovely addition to any yard and functions both as landscaping and a cozy spot for cuddles and more. Currently it is being sold exclusively at The Cosmopolitan Event which runs from now until October 7. While at the event, you can get this incredible piece 20% off in either Adult or PG only versions (Adult version includes the PG version). What I love about this set is that the animations are all great as I expect but also that the singles poses can be changed independently from the other person sitting with you. There’s so many choices I have no doubt you will love it like I do. Some Kind of Madness is Swallowing Me Whole

I apologize for my absence! A combination of real life and a bit of a down mood has kept me from posting this when I originally received the items that are featured today. Read on for what’s been floating through my mind.

We all know that there are many things that drive us crazy. Rude customers or co-workers at work. Too slow drivers or traffic on our daily commutes. Finding presents left by the dog or cat for the 100th time on the carpet. Even something simple as the sound some people make when eating can set a person’s teeth on edge. But there are very few things, in my opinion at least, that can drive us to true madness. One of those things… is love.

For very few people, the search seems easy, almost like an arrow just pointing them in the right direction. But for most people, the search is rough, almost brutal at times. We look for signs to say, “Hey, turn here, open this door” or “Turn back now, wrong turn” to show us where we are supposed to be headed and with who. And if that wasn’t enough, our search can be for many different types of love. Even if we prefer to be alone, most of us seek companionship of some kind whether with family, friendship, a lover or a pet. The search for love, that special kind of love that comes from another person we want to spend the rest of our lives with…that love can bring us to a madness like no other.

I may be a bit of a hopeless romantic. I know it’s in everything I do, everything I say. As I’ve embarked on my quest for love, I’ve hit a few potholes, skinned my knees a few times, and leaped off a cliff without really being sure of what was at the bottom of the water. Love truly can be blind and that is usually what causes most of the hardship we end up experiencing when things go wrong. As Sigmund Freud said, “We are never so defenseless against suffering as when we love.” First love is always so innocent…nothing quite like it and the heartbreak we face when we realize the other person is not 100% perfect and not a good fit feels earth shattering for some.

Well… Freud also said, “One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.” Although we lament all the hardship our hearts endure, they are strong and able to go through a lot of rough handling. It sucks, but eventually you get better at finding the right turns and all that hard work is worth it; the pain of the past lingers but not so strongly that you’re unable to find happiness again…

My main point? It’s a lot of what I’ve been talking about already. Don’t give up. Keep trudging along the rough paths, scraping your knees, and taking a tumble or two; just remember to pick yourself up and continue to move forward. Find your love whether that is a person, a cat or dog, or a group of friends who have your back. Don’t let madness swallow you.

Today I am sharing the Chesterfield Sofa, Chair and Stool. Both were at the Home Show 2017 but due to my mood and RL I was late to blog them. They are now at the mainstore and on Marketplace along with matching Bondage Benches. Personally, I love this set even more than the Contempo set that I have blogged about earlier this year. I think this is probably due to the detailing of the back cushions. Nonetheless, this set brings you all of your favorite smooth poses in the adult versions of each piece or the PG versions you can purchase if you don’t want the racy aspects.

Animations included in these pieces are as usual, superbly smooth and plentiful. Both leather and metals can be changed via the logo on the back of each piece and you can change the security of the menus as well. Poses are easy to adjust and swap for all your naughty needs.
