As we near All Hallow’s Eve, the spook and eerie atmosphere around us seems to slowly grow darker and more sinister. Neighbors put out decorations that seem to watch us in the night when we return home in the dark, superstitions may seem to hold more truth than we would normally give credit, and some people don an alter ego they’ve been planning on all year.
Unlike real life, SecondLife allows us the opportunity to be who we want any time of the year, moment to moment, avatar to avatar. We create the environment we want to live in as well. A popular roleplay in SecondLife involves vampires. In fact, there are many roleplay systems devoted to vampires and werewolves in SL. Many sims are home to clans that live in giant castles and house coffins to slumber in during the day, except in sl it can be night all the time. Dictatorshop has recently been releasing pieces that make up a set perfect for any gothic enthusiast who may have an interest in vampire animations as well. Read on for more on each piece featured in this post!
The Vespera collection encompasses a range of pieces that are perfect for the bedroom or other rooms within a castle or structure of your choice. My favorite piece has to be the Vespera Bondage Bed. The texturing of the bed, ironwork, and wood is beautiful and looks fantastic in both low and high graphic settings. For those who know what to look for, they will also find a lifestyle related symbol subtly worked into the iron on the canopy of the bed. Animation menus are loaded with great poses for you and a loved one or just a friend to snuggle. There are three versions of the bed which will determine the animations you’ll be getting; PG, Adult Vanilla, and Adult Kink. One part of the bed that took me a bit to figure out was how to access the bondage menus on the Adult Kink version. If you are looking for the very adult animations on this version that are in addition to vanilla, lesbian, and threesome menus, click the footboard of the bed and choose either MaleDom or FemDom to suit your needs. A two step stool rezzes on the side of the bed that you can sit on, or use the metal rings on the bedposts, then play to your heart’s content! Today is the last day to grab it while it is at the Black Fair before it goes full price in the mainstore and marketplace.
At Ultra until November 10th, you can find the Vespera Coffin Chair, which matches the Vespera Coffin Sofa that is also pictured here. Like the bed, both the chair and sofa come in three rating levels, PG, Adult Vanilla, and Adult Kink. Only the Coffin Chair Adult Kink version has animations specifically for those who want vampire poses for “feeding” or biting in a tasteful manner. Many of the animations match what you will find in the bed an other Dictatorshop pieces. To change the texture on the chair and sofa, click the logo in the back to change leather colors and metals. Whether you are wanting dark or bright and fun, there is something to fit in any color scheme.
Some men and women feel they are royalty and deserve a throne to fit their status. If you run a clan, the Vespera Throne is perfect for you. Not only does this throne fit in with the rest of the Vespera line, but it also has additional vampire themed animations in the Adult Kink version. Like the other pieces, get this gem in three different version depending on your animation needs. If you look closely, like the bed, the throne features lifestyle related symbols embedded into the metal of the headboard. Find it at Cosmopolitan until the event ends and it moves to the mainstore!
The last piece I have pictured is the Vespera Dragon Armoire, currently being sold at the Red Light District. Unlike the other Vespera pieces, the Armoire is RLV cage that someone can sit in and be controlled by others who click to access the menu. Menus to change textures and security access are inside the Armoire. You can change the wood texture and make the doors transparent or solid. If you’re not interested in the animations, this piece still makes a lovely decorative piece to any boudoir.
