Everybody’s Comin’, Leave Your Body at the Door

Hello monsters and ghouls! There is a new event called Trick or Treat that started October 21st and I am excited to share it with you all! If you like gachas and Halloween, this is an event for you; play for free and play all the gachas like normal or you can buy the VIP Hud which will give you a grand prize once you’ve played each gacha until you collect all prizes. No gacha item is repeated so there is no worries about duplicate items. Find more info on how it all works and landmarks here. Now on to some previews!

I’m still trying to figure out my costume for Halloween so I picked up a few things to mix and match with. At The Little Bat, the Grand Prize is a set of Monochrome Leggings that have several different patterns for the top section to pick from. This set comes in an omega applier. Commons include other leggings variations and mesh nails fitted for Maitreya and Slink hands.

My top is from Squishy Fluff and is one of several of the Treat tops with words on it. It comes fitted for Maitreya, Slink Physique and Hourglass, Kemono, and Ruth2 mesh bodies. Collect all ten tops and get comfy for the house or out and about. Squishy Fluff also has trick prizes that include raisin dresses and Pumpkin Spice Lax.

To complete my look, I picked up a necklace from Astara. They have both good and bad witch crystal necklaces so play until you get one you prefer. Cubic Cherry made cute horns, eyes, and a mask for the grand prize. The horns seemed to match my look for this evening the most and nestle perfectly in my hair. Lastly, I couldn’t forget my Frankenbucket with candy and my gummy worm to keep me energized for partying all night long.

Who Am I to Disagree?

As we near All Hallow’s Eve, the spook and eerie atmosphere around us seems to slowly grow darker and more sinister. Neighbors put out decorations that seem to watch us in the night when we return home in the dark, superstitions may seem to hold more truth than we would normally give credit, and some people don an alter ego they’ve been planning on all year.

Unlike real life, SecondLife allows us the opportunity to be who we want any time of the year, moment to moment, avatar to avatar. We create the environment we want to live in as well. A popular roleplay in SecondLife involves vampires. In fact, there are many roleplay systems devoted to vampires and werewolves in SL. Many sims are home to clans that live in giant castles and house coffins to slumber in during the day, except in sl it can be night all the time. Dictatorshop has recently been releasing pieces that make up a set perfect for any gothic enthusiast who may have an interest in vampire animations as well. Read on for more on each piece featured in this post!

The Vespera collection encompasses a range of pieces that are perfect for the bedroom or other rooms within a castle or structure of your choice. My favorite piece has to be the Vespera Bondage Bed. The texturing of the bed, ironwork, and wood is beautiful and looks fantastic in both low and high graphic settings. For those who know what to look for, they will also find a lifestyle related symbol subtly worked into the iron on the canopy of the bed. Animation menus are loaded with great poses for you and a loved one or just a friend to snuggle. There are three versions of the bed which will determine the animations you’ll be getting; PG, Adult Vanilla, and Adult Kink. One part of the bed that took me a bit to figure out was how to access the bondage menus on the Adult Kink version. If you are looking for the very adult animations on this version that are in addition to vanilla, lesbian, and threesome menus, click the footboard of the bed and choose either MaleDom or FemDom to suit your needs. A two step stool rezzes on the side of the bed that you can sit on, or use the metal rings on the bedposts, then play to your heart’s content! Today is the last day to grab it while it is at the Black Fair before it goes full price in the mainstore and marketplace.

At Ultra until November 10th, you can find the Vespera Coffin Chair, which matches the Vespera Coffin Sofa that is also pictured here. Like the bed, both the chair and sofa come in three rating levels, PG, Adult Vanilla, and Adult Kink. Only the Coffin Chair Adult Kink version has animations specifically for those who want vampire poses for “feeding” or biting in a tasteful manner. Many of the animations match what you will find in  the bed an other Dictatorshop pieces. To change the texture on the chair and sofa, click the logo in the back to change leather colors and metals. Whether you are wanting dark or bright and fun, there is something to fit in any color scheme.

Some men and women feel they are royalty and deserve a throne to fit their status. If you run a clan, the Vespera Throne is perfect for you. Not only does this throne fit in with the rest of the Vespera line, but it also has additional vampire themed animations in the Adult Kink version. Like the other pieces, get this gem in three different version depending on your animation needs. If you look closely, like the bed, the throne features lifestyle related symbols embedded into the metal of the headboard. Find it at Cosmopolitan until the event ends and it moves to the mainstore!

The last piece I have pictured is the Vespera Dragon Armoire, currently being sold at the Red Light District. Unlike the other Vespera pieces, the Armoire is RLV cage that someone can sit in and be controlled by others who click to access the menu. Menus to change textures and security access are inside the Armoire. You can change the wood texture and make the doors transparent or solid. If you’re not interested in the animations, this piece still makes a lovely decorative piece to any boudoir.

You Know I Know, Yes, I’ve Been Told I Redefine a Sin

Most people learn about sin either through the religion their family teaches and raises them with or though literature, movies, tv, or art. We learn there are seven original sins: lust, greed, gluttony, sloth, wrath, avarice, and pride. On one hand, we learn that sins are bad, negative, not to be done. Yet for some, the warnings we’re given aren’t deterrents for committing sins. In Dante’s Divine Comedy, the first part explores the nine levels of Hell or Inferno. This September’s round of Twisted Hunt is inspired by Dante’s Inferno. If you haven’t heard of Twisted Hunt, it is a grid wide hunt in Secondlife that is completely free and rightfully claimed to be the hardest hunt on the grid. I’ve completed quite a few of these hunts that happen every March and September, and yes, they are the hardest hunts I’ve done in sl. But the trade off is that you get some fantastic gifts from the participating merchants. If you don’t mind working hard for some cool stuff, check out a couple of things I’ve already swiped on the hunt. So my friends at =EC Designs=, Mishmash Fusion, and ~MystRie~ all collaborated on another side hunt for Twisted Hunt. Like their side hunt for Twisted Hunt Atlantis in March, you must travel through multiple levels, finding a prize and the correct teleport object. This time though, you must venture much like Dante, through the nine levels of Hell. If you aren’t feeling the heat in the side hunt, it’s not required, although you do get to see the main prize from =EC Designs= at the end. The final level of Hell features a frozen lake, skulls, and well… a lot of bad juju from the worst sinners. The actual prize from =EC  Designs= is a frozen lake with trees around it that you can sit on with friends or a loved one or use some of the ropes to “hang out” on. It’s a bit creepy and spooky, and perfect for Halloween season. There are a TON of pose options for couples and singles, even a spot for petite avatars! Hunt for this prize in the =EC Designs= shop. Also out in the shop are some gachas to play, one of which are skates to use on your new lake from Hell. Unrigged, the Hellskates should work for most human avatars. if you wear a mesh body, you should only need to detach or hide your feet. Classic avatars can adjust the height of the skate to suit. Collect all of the skates and show off your skating skills on your new lake!

To match the Hellskates, Mishmash Fusion also has a gacha with ice skating dresses out. Sorry gents, no outfits for you, but the hunt prize has a nice suit for both women and men! The Hellskater Outfits match each of the Hellskates so you can have a complete set if you get a matching pair OR you can buy the fatpack and have them all. Saying All the Things I’m Thinking…

Hello lovely people! The Cart Sale’s 10th Birthday/Anniversary round is nearing its end but I wanted to share a few more things to find there. All of the creators have really put in a ton of extra effort to make this a special event so don’t miss it before it ends on November 1st!

I have been feeling a little bit sexy lately and this is partly due to the new lingerie set I got from Dark Water Designs. This set is a gacha with babydoll dresses and panties that you can mix and match or if you snag the ultra rare, it is the fatpack of every solid lace and print option. The rares are fatpacks of the solid lace OR the print options. My favorite is the black and gray print version but there are many other pretty options to collect. For this post, my special man is guest starring and he seemed to like this set quite a bit as well. Sizes for this gacha are available for the Maitreya, all three Bellezas, both Slinks, TMP, and Standard bodies. Each pull is only 20L so play have fun playing this gacha and tease your man ladies! Or the fellas can gift them to their special someone too. 😉

Another lovely piece I found at the Cart Sale is from ..::battle fairy::.. and comes in several pattern versions. It fits nicely but careful how you lay, you may want some panties ladies! Mesh models included in each print version are made for Maitreya, all three Bellezas, both Slinks, TMP, and Standard bodies. Standard mesh models come in five sizes. If you’re feeling daring, grab this gem while it is on sale!

Some of the furniture I used in the first photo are from events that have been going on in October. On the wall is a clock from An Lema that I thought was spooky fun and it is one of several items they have at the Cart Sale. Unless you are good at scripting/building, moving it around is a bit tricky because the pendulum seems to only swing on one rotation. For decor though, it suits the mood of the room plenty for me.

I also wanted to share this piece from Dictatorshop that I got in the October Bound Box. The Venus Cubed Ladies Entertainment Center is excellent for teasing, pleasing, and lounging around. While animations are heavily geared towards females, there are still plenty of options for males to enjoy including the couples’ animations. There are not couple’s pg poses except for the dances so keep little ones away from this or tuck it away in your playroom. Textures can be changed via the Dictatorshop logo on the back as well as security options. If you’d like, you can also try adding your own textures to it for more versatility. From Vicarious Youth at the Cart Sale, you’ll find a few Halloween themed outfits. Some are matching for moms and their little girls, some are for teens or adults.  The outfit I’m wearing is Resting Witch Face and comes in five standard mesh sizes and mesh models for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink. Bottoms and tops are combined so it’s easy fitting.

On my shoulder is a little Voodoo gacha from =EC Designs= that they made for Cart Sale. Each one is scripted to randomly say something or you can click it to pester it into saying something as well. Voodoo dolls are also customizable if you want them to say something else. Collect them all!

Lastly I want to share another item from =EC Designs= that is at the Cart Sale. For 50L, this piece has a LOT of animations to help you get cozy and comfy for the season. As someone who likes to let out her inner cat, this lounger is purrrfect for curling up with a good book or with your sweetie to enjoy some fresh air. All of these poses are PG so no worries if you have little ones. They may want you to put it in their room too because they can sit on top!

Sparks Fly From Her Finger Tips

Hi there guys! I hope you are all well and enjoying the fall colors. I know I am. I am also enjoying the fantastic creations merchants are putting out for the season. Right now the Cart Sale is having a special event for their 10 year Anniversary sale. On top of their usual 10L sale there are also gachas! This event will be going on longer than normal to give everyone plenty of time to shop. I have some peeks at what you can find there.

One of my favorite pieces this round is the gacha set from Mishmash Fusion. The Cobwebbed Dress has rich colors overlayed with spiderwebs that give it just a subtle spooky feel and the ruffle trim is nice and soft so you’ll still look cute. Each color comes in standard fitted and mesh sizes for for Maitreya, Slink Physique & Hourglass, Belleza Freya, Isis, & Venus; and eBody bodies. There are no rares so be sure to play it a few times! Only 20L a pull! To match the dress, I’m wearing The Dark Fae’s Samba heels which come fitted for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza feet. The rare for this gacha is a fatpack will every color option.

My wonderful friend Mits picked up another dress from Mishmash Fusion that is on sale, the Lillian Dress Day of the Dead in pink. This dress comes in the same sizes as the Cobwebbed Dress and is covered in sugar skulls on the skirt. You’ll find matching shoes shaped like coffins for standard, Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza feet.

Both Mits and I are wearing nail polish from Koffin Nails that are on sale at the Cart Sale. They come in appliers for Maitreya, Slink, and omega. I’m wearing the special Pumpkin Spice Latte nail polish because I am a sucker for pumpkins and anything harvest-y. Check out our nails!

The living room set is from =EC Designs= and is called the Hideaway Parlor Set, which is comprised of five pieces sold for 10L apiece. A chair, couch, coffee table, side table, and lamp for 50L is a fantastic bargain. The couches come in in a version with a blanket and leaf pattern on the storage baskets and a version without the blanket and a pumpkin on the basket. There are PG couples and single sits in the couch and single sits in the chairs so there are plenty of options for everyone in the family.

On the wall are pictures that come in a set inspired by Edgar Allen Poe created by *PAN*. Also included in the set is a shelf that is not shown and the Nevermore lettering on the table. The pumpkins are from a gacha by Sequel with just one rare that I found to be darling and perfect for adding a touch of Halloween without going scary. The candelabra in the corner has a menu that let’s you pick the metal texture, candle flame type, and light colors. Even when it’s not spooky season, these pieces are great for any home.

Lastly I wanted to share the Crystal Skull that I have on the coffee table. Made by Dark Knight Decor, this fun rotating skull in a crystal will read your fortune when touched. Varying messages are pre-loaded into the notecard contents but it is fully customizeable so you can create your own fortunes! Or make some to scare your friends. Just remember what you put out comes back to you threefold!

She Gazed with a Loving Beauty

Fall is officially and as many of you know, it is my favorite season. I love the cooler temps, the changing colors on the leaves, everything pumpkin spice, and Halloween! I also really connect with the idea of the life cycle and what this time represents in that cycle. It’s a reminder that all things end but there is still beauty in that ending. Speaking of endings, the Twisted Hunt is fast coming to a close but I wanted to share a little from the hunt which ends September 30.

My friend Myst at Mishmash Fusion is a merchant for the Twisted Hunt and is shop #42 on the hunt path. For this round, she’s made a gorgeous set of outfits for both females and males to wear inspired by the Victorian Goth hunt theme. Ladies can find themselves twirling about in this vision of red and black top/skirt set that together fits like a dress. On the back of the top is a lovely corset lace detail that tastefully shows a bit of skin that I just love. The textures on this outfit, called Remy’s Song, look great especially with advanced lighting on. Sizes included are classic standard mesh sizes XL-XS and fitted models for Maitreya, both Slinks, Belleza bodies, both Tonics, and TMP bodies. Men will find a dashing suit in red and black that comes in classic standard mesh sizes XL-XS and a pair of black shoes to complete the look. The stripes running down the Knives’ Suit are nice and sharp and will have any man feeling tall. Other color variations of both outfits are available in the gacha machines as well as other goodies.

I also wanted to share a new item from Dictatorshop. The Driftwood Swing is a lovely addition to any yard and functions both as landscaping and a cozy spot for cuddles and more. Currently it is being sold exclusively at The Cosmopolitan Event which runs from now until October 7. While at the event, you can get this incredible piece 20% off in either Adult or PG only versions (Adult version includes the PG version). What I love about this set is that the animations are all great as I expect but also that the singles poses can be changed independently from the other person sitting with you. There’s so many choices I have no doubt you will love it like I do. The Smell of Your Skin Lingers

Hey everyone! You have one day left to get to the Cart Sale so take advantage of the sale while you still can! Today I am bringing you a lot more peeks into what you will find at the Cart Sale.

As I was thinking about what I wanted to show you guys, I kind of just hung around my bedroom and lazed about in my new shorts and tank top. I’m still sort of decorating my house so I was wanting comfy casual attire. The shorts you see here are from !The Little Bat and come with a HUD with fun color selections. Sizes included are standard mesh sizing and fitted models for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza. My tank top from Vicarious Youth fits only Maitreya. I’m a kitty girl so I had to have it.

My second look comes from Anachron. This cute dress is at the Cart Sale in a variety of colors, some that are perfect for Easter. It comes in standard mesh sizing and models for Maitreya, Slink Physique, Slink Hourglass, and Belleza bodies. Pair it with some cute sandals and a hat and you are set for Sunday brunch!

My third look is a lovely floral dress from Dark Water Designs. It only comes in standard mesh sizes but it still fit my Maitreya body well. If you aren’t a big fan of floral patterns, the dress also comes in a striped version. Either one is wonderful for new spring attire.

My last look is from :{MV}: and I have been strutting my stuff in this dress all day! Sizes included are for Maitreya, Slink Physique and Hourglass, Belleza Isis, Venus, and Freya; and a standard fit option. There are seven gorgeous colors to choose from and really at this price, it’s a bargain to grab them all for 110L. Each is 10L with the black being the special 50L item. My friend and sl daughter loved the dress too and is the one posing with me. To pair with the detailing on the neckline, I applied some nail polish from La Boheme that was also at the Cart Sale. These nails have omega appliers and one for Maitreya.

The bed that I am sitting on in my picture is The Sophisticate Bed from Dictatorshop. It is not the newest item but I really loved the look of it and the bedsheets I found were so lovely. If you’re looking for a bed that with great animations for all around use, this is a wonderful option. Individuals have plenty of poses to pick from for both genders. There are cuddles for when you just want to relax with that special someone, and then as usual the wide selection of adult animations that Dictatorshop always has. For more options in bed covers, check out the other huds available in the shop; for the goth lovers there’s even Halloween themed bedsheets. Be sure to get the right Hud for the correct bed and have fun matching your house decor! 🙂

All the other decor in the pictures are from the Cart Sale. I love the watercolors and sketches from Dark Knight Designs. Something about them scattered about the room makes it feel extra artsy. The teapot with the fern fits in well with the bedsheets I chose too. The sturdy table is from Wood Works Furniture and is nice for filling in empty corners to hold up some of your knick knacks. I also liked the little pouffe seats from The Artist Shed for a little spot to sit and look out the window. Each pouffe has a different pose and texture inspired by spring weather. My final touches to my room was to hang a fishing pole from Dixie Dandelion with little frames on the wall and to texture the empty wall with an accent pattern from Timeless Textures. Each frame has a little cheerful saying and image to brighten your mood. On the wall, the knit texture I chose looks more glittery because of the scale. It’s a beautiful texture!

Flesh to Blood to Bone to Love… Twisted…

Hello my lovelies! It seems my witchy side is persisting as we get closer to Samhain and the Day of the Dead. I seem to have acquired the gift of divination for a time. Or maybe it has something more to do with this Twisted Hunt that’s been going on all September. Haven’t heard of it? Well let me tell you a little story…

Twisted Hunt is well known as the hardest hunt in SL. Its Organizers are evil and the merchants are ebil. And no that was NOT a typo. Ebilness is reserved for the truly twisted of twisted people and fair warning, you’ll lose your mind and hair on this hunt. Merchants are allowed to use only a certain number of visible decoys but who’s to say they won’t bury a million cubes in the walls and rename their building parts? In an effort to ward of would-be cheaters, merchants are very crafty and downright wicked at times in hiding their prize cubes. So why go through all the trouble for a little cube? Because Twisted Hunt has arguably some of the best creators on the grid offering FREE prize hunt cubes. Merchants like Mishmash Fusion..

The gown and blindfold I am wearing come as a set of standard mesh sizes as the main hunt prize for this hunt at Mishmash Fusion. Spirits sending you visions of the Apocalypse? Randomly spouting prophecies worthy of the Ancient Greek oracles? You’re going to need this gown! The beautiful rich fabric will keep you warm as you scry in crystal balls by moonlight and read fortunes in animal guts. The blindfold comes in two versions, one of which is unrigged. I’m wearing the LQ version. I did have to squish my boobs into my dress but that was because I wanted to fit in a size M. Other than that, no shape modifications. Find this lovely gown before the event ends! My necklace and earrings are from Sn@tch and come with easy to use resize scripts. This hunt prize is simply lovely and is a great addition to a witch or seer’s wardrobe.

I also wanted to share the cool crystals and big stone looking thing behind me. The crystal clusters are the Twisted Hunt gift from Attitude is An Artform. These beauties are very low prim and can be linked together without making the prim count multiply like rabbits. The stone piece is carved with old Celtic symbols for the five elements; earth, fire, water, air, and spirit. When clicked, a smokey mist is emitted from the circle as spirits are called forth. And Now You’re Mine

Occasionally, we all encounter people who annoy us, give us the creeps, or do something that results in causing us pain. For the past few months I’ve been healing and rediscovering myself. Part of this process has led me to meet some interesting characters and some of them, are not so great. I’ll admit, my witchy side started to take over. So, as any good girl (or is that bad?) would do, I went into my attic and wove some spells to summon a demon for a little vengeance. Hint: Check the window. Who said we can’t help Karma along?

To cast my spell, I decided to wear something to give me a bit of extra confidence. My dress is from Mishmash Fusion and comes in a great selection of colors. Diversions is mesh body friendly for Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique, and Slink Hourglass and comes in five standard mesh sizes. Ladies, this dress is perfect for going out on the town for the night to lure unsuspecting men for some fun or for staying in and weaving witchy spells. 🙂 You won’t be disappointed! If you’re curious about my wings, I found them at a gacha resale on the Serenity City sim. Lots of gacha goodies can be found and empty space is swiftly replaced by new ones. Born to Be Wild at the Cart Sale

With the onset of spring rolling around, there’s lots of bright and happy dresses being pulled out of the closets and great sales going on. One of my favorite sales events is The Cart Sale @The Wash which offers all items for 10 lindens with the option of one item being 50L. Right now Spring Freshness is the theme of this round’s Cart Sale and there certainly is a lot of spring fever going on. I, for one, loved exploring the grittier side of the theme, which led me to get back onto my bike for a little ride around a new roleplay sim called Dark Edinburgh. Details on that in a bit.

Roped Passion is offering a wonderful selection of one sleeve tops and pants sets for 10L. The outfit I’m wearing is the 50L version that comes with matching heels for Slink and Maitreya feet. The outfit itself comes in many different mesh versions so you can find the best fit. Each color comes with standard mesh sizes as well as fitted meshes for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza bodies. I had no issues with fit and feel really sassy in it. Small detailing over the pants and top add a bit of sparkle without making it too girly. Biker and rocker girls will love this outfit. NOTE: Shoes are only included with the 50L version.

Another designer that took a different perspective on spring was Drusilla Dethly of !The Little Bat. You won’t find any flowers on her new dress or bow. No, you’ll find bats. Bats cover the cute short skirt and one takes center stage on the cameo bow. Both are only 10L at the Cart Sale. For shoes, I decided to pair the dress and bow with my new Mary Jane pumps from The Dark Fae. I really do adore these shoes because they are not super girly…or rather too nice girly.  The bow is cute, but the spikes and little skully on the heel add the perfect touch of goth to keep things fun and quirky.

Lastly, my nails are from [:Rad Designz:]. At the Cart Sale, there are 5 different styles of nails and each style has 6 variations. I’m wearing the Beaded Hearts on my Slink Casual Hands. All nail appliers come on one hud for easy application for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink hands. Bonus, the nails are also omega compatible. Buy each style for just 10L and have fun with your new sparkly fingers.

Lastly, I wanted to share this new roleplay sim that opened up not too long ago. It’s called Dark Edinburgh and it’s based on the Vampires of Masquerade roleplay from real life. Characters can be vampire, werewolf, mages (witch/wizard), or human. The roleplay is set in modern day Edinburgh and looks pretty cool.
