Everybody’s Comin’, Leave Your Body at the Door

Hello monsters and ghouls! There is a new event called Trick or Treat that started October 21st and I am excited to share it with you all! If you like gachas and Halloween, this is an event for you; play for free and play all the gachas like normal or you can buy the VIP Hud which will give you a grand prize once you’ve played each gacha until you collect all prizes. No gacha item is repeated so there is no worries about duplicate items. Find more info on how it all works and landmarks here. Now on to some previews!

I’m still trying to figure out my costume for Halloween so I picked up a few things to mix and match with. At The Little Bat, the Grand Prize is a set of Monochrome Leggings that have several different patterns for the top section to pick from. This set comes in an omega applier. Commons include other leggings variations and mesh nails fitted for Maitreya and Slink hands.

My top is from Squishy Fluff and is one of several of the Treat tops with words on it. It comes fitted for Maitreya, Slink Physique and Hourglass, Kemono, and Ruth2 mesh bodies. Collect all ten tops and get comfy for the house or out and about. Squishy Fluff also has trick prizes that include raisin dresses and Pumpkin Spice Lax.

To complete my look, I picked up a necklace from Astara. They have both good and bad witch crystal necklaces so play until you get one you prefer. Cubic Cherry made cute horns, eyes, and a mask for the grand prize. The horns seemed to match my look for this evening the most and nestle perfectly in my hair. Lastly, I couldn’t forget my Frankenbucket with candy and my gummy worm to keep me energized for partying all night long.

Saying All the Things I’m Thinking…

Hello lovely people! The Cart Sale’s 10th Birthday/Anniversary round is nearing its end but I wanted to share a few more things to find there. All of the creators have really put in a ton of extra effort to make this a special event so don’t miss it before it ends on November 1st!

I have been feeling a little bit sexy lately and this is partly due to the new lingerie set I got from Dark Water Designs. This set is a gacha with babydoll dresses and panties that you can mix and match or if you snag the ultra rare, it is the fatpack of every solid lace and print option. The rares are fatpacks of the solid lace OR the print options. My favorite is the black and gray print version but there are many other pretty options to collect. For this post, my special man is guest starring and he seemed to like this set quite a bit as well. Sizes for this gacha are available for the Maitreya, all three Bellezas, both Slinks, TMP, and Standard bodies. Each pull is only 20L so play have fun playing this gacha and tease your man ladies! Or the fellas can gift them to their special someone too. 😉

Another lovely piece I found at the Cart Sale is from ..::battle fairy::.. and comes in several pattern versions. It fits nicely but careful how you lay, you may want some panties ladies! Mesh models included in each print version are made for Maitreya, all three Bellezas, both Slinks, TMP, and Standard bodies. Standard mesh models come in five sizes. If you’re feeling daring, grab this gem while it is on sale!

Some of the furniture I used in the first photo are from events that have been going on in October. On the wall is a clock from An Lema that I thought was spooky fun and it is one of several items they have at the Cart Sale. Unless you are good at scripting/building, moving it around is a bit tricky because the pendulum seems to only swing on one rotation. For decor though, it suits the mood of the room plenty for me.

I also wanted to share this piece from Dictatorshop that I got in the October Bound Box. The Venus Cubed Ladies Entertainment Center is excellent for teasing, pleasing, and lounging around. While animations are heavily geared towards females, there are still plenty of options for males to enjoy including the couples’ animations. There are not couple’s pg poses except for the dances so keep little ones away from this or tuck it away in your playroom. Textures can be changed via the Dictatorshop logo on the back as well as security options. If you’d like, you can also try adding your own textures to it for more versatility. From Vicarious Youth at the Cart Sale, you’ll find a few Halloween themed outfits. Some are matching for moms and their little girls, some are for teens or adults.  The outfit I’m wearing is Resting Witch Face and comes in five standard mesh sizes and mesh models for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink. Bottoms and tops are combined so it’s easy fitting.

On my shoulder is a little Voodoo gacha from =EC Designs= that they made for Cart Sale. Each one is scripted to randomly say something or you can click it to pester it into saying something as well. Voodoo dolls are also customizable if you want them to say something else. Collect them all!

Lastly I want to share another item from =EC Designs= that is at the Cart Sale. For 50L, this piece has a LOT of animations to help you get cozy and comfy for the season. As someone who likes to let out her inner cat, this lounger is purrrfect for curling up with a good book or with your sweetie to enjoy some fresh air. All of these poses are PG so no worries if you have little ones. They may want you to put it in their room too because they can sit on top!

Naked to Nothing More Than Who We Are

 

For today’s post, I decided to take on one of Strawberry Singh’s #SecondLifeChallenges.  I’ve been in a somewhat reflective mood since my grand grandmother passed away about a week ago and I thought this might be a good way to ponder life and get back into blogging more. If you’d like to participate too, here’s the link to Strawberry’s post with all of the details.

First a word about today’s picture. The image for this post is my Fallen Gods Inc. 2017 Gods and Goddesses Photo Contest entry, the skin being the participation prize from last’s years photo contest. My love for this look is only surpassed by my surprise and awe at the luck I had in getting this shot. Go check out all the other pretty pictures in the temple here!

Now on to the challenge… Seven facts about my SecondLife avatar or SecondLife that may not be obvious to any of you, my lovely readers.

1. I really can not stand sl voice. Besides the fact that I despise my own voice, it seems that people who use mic tend to forget to keep people who type included in the conversation. That and the quality of mic sound in sl varies by person AND I am hearing impaired. So, I dislike sl voice immensely.
2. I have had two sl partnerships in my four years and four months on sl. Both of which lasted over the average of four months for sl relationships. The longer of the two relationships lasted two years.
3. I am seldom without my jerboa tail. The only time I take it off is for blog posts at times or for roleplay. For a short time I was never without wings but I always return to neko.
4. I have only roleplayed in Game of Thrones sims. The few sims I have roleplayed on have been places my sl parents roleplayed at for Game of Thrones because I don’t like to roleplay in sims I don’t anyone and because I only wanted to roleplay Game of Thrones.
5. My first and only mesh head is my current one, the LeLutka Bento Simone, courtesy of the fabulous Sophia Harlow.
6. I really don’t like changing my shape and skin. It throws me off. I only do so for roleplay characters or artistic photos. I’ll change my hair frequently but not my skin or shape.
7. I have absolutely no idea how to landscape or edit terrain in sl. Zero. I’ve never owned land where I could experiment with it.

She Gazed with a Loving Beauty

Fall is officially and as many of you know, it is my favorite season. I love the cooler temps, the changing colors on the leaves, everything pumpkin spice, and Halloween! I also really connect with the idea of the life cycle and what this time represents in that cycle. It’s a reminder that all things end but there is still beauty in that ending. Speaking of endings, the Twisted Hunt is fast coming to a close but I wanted to share a little from the hunt which ends September 30.

My friend Myst at Mishmash Fusion is a merchant for the Twisted Hunt and is shop #42 on the hunt path. For this round, she’s made a gorgeous set of outfits for both females and males to wear inspired by the Victorian Goth hunt theme. Ladies can find themselves twirling about in this vision of red and black top/skirt set that together fits like a dress. On the back of the top is a lovely corset lace detail that tastefully shows a bit of skin that I just love. The textures on this outfit, called Remy’s Song, look great especially with advanced lighting on. Sizes included are classic standard mesh sizes XL-XS and fitted models for Maitreya, both Slinks, Belleza bodies, both Tonics, and TMP bodies. Men will find a dashing suit in red and black that comes in classic standard mesh sizes XL-XS and a pair of black shoes to complete the look. The stripes running down the Knives’ Suit are nice and sharp and will have any man feeling tall. Other color variations of both outfits are available in the gacha machines as well as other goodies.

I also wanted to share a new item from Dictatorshop. The Driftwood Swing is a lovely addition to any yard and functions both as landscaping and a cozy spot for cuddles and more. Currently it is being sold exclusively at The Cosmopolitan Event which runs from now until October 7. While at the event, you can get this incredible piece 20% off in either Adult or PG only versions (Adult version includes the PG version). What I love about this set is that the animations are all great as I expect but also that the singles poses can be changed independently from the other person sitting with you. There’s so many choices I have no doubt you will love it like I do. Made My Skin a Little Bit Thicker

A little bit of a rant or musing to start things off today followed by a special giveaway to celebrate reaching 50 blog posts! Read on to find out about the giveaway!

Lately I have been reminiscing on some of the events of the past year or so. Remembering the people that have moved in and out of my life and the lessons I have taken from them. It is incredible what an influence some people have had in such a short time while other lessons came from mistakes or taking a wrong turn. My morning has been a bit quieter than usual as I remember those lessons.

I know my last few posts have been a bit more upbeat and summery cheerful, so this post probably seems a bit less peppy. As a human, I can only be cheerful for so long before another obstacle gets thrown in my path that tries to knock me down. But you know what? I will keep fighting for the happiness I know I deserve. Maybe I need a day or two to get back into gear, but I will never stop swinging my bat at each ball that tries to strike me out. So my adventure for today took me to a baseball field in Chicago where I practiced focusing on hitting each ball out of the park and refocusing my mind on what is important. What is that you ask? Well… Me.

Now that might sound selfish, but consider this. If you spread yourself too thin, trying to please everyone you come across, you can never be happy because you have no time for yourself and what makes you happy. This was something I’ve had to learn and really, I’m still working on it. My health and happiness are first and foremost before I can be expected to help others. I will always make time for those who are closest to me; yet I have reevaluated who those people are and adjusted my priorities accordingly to give myself the best chance of smiling every day. Life is too short. Spend it doing what you love and with the people you love.

So, you’re probably wondering by now if i will just get to the clothes I’m wearing. Don’t fret! Today I am wearing a fun T-shirt dress from Dark Water Designs that is currently at the Cart Sale in three colors and a couple solid knit versions. Hello lovelies! It has been a beautiful week here for me. At last, the sun is shining and it appears that summer is here to stay so I am enjoying a bit of the outdoor scene before the weather changes its mind. With new adventures coming my way, I decided I needed a few new things to stay comfy while traipsing about the grid.

The Cart Sale started up again June 21 and will run through July 5. Every item is only 10 lindens. Yes, you read that right. Only 10 lindens! So what do the merchants have in store for us? Lots of new clothes (female, male, and kids), furniture, and decor for outdoors are for sale for the event.

One of my first summer adventures was sailing out on the sea. I secured a boat, got it out on some water, then readied myself for a bright day out along the coast. My outfit is from {Ezmerelda’s} and is an omega applier look. The hat matches and has a resizer script so you can be sure to get the purrfect fit. Both outfit and hat can be found with matching slink nails at the Cart Sale. Remember, omega appliers work with many mesh bodies!

After my seafaring adventure, I decided I needed some time in the backyard. I had purchased some pink wildflowers from Crys Secret Garden and wanted to get them planted as soon as possible. I also picked up a cute tent that is nice and shady for having cake and iced tea in the afternoon. Since I was just going to be at home, I decided to wear my new hot pants from Roped Passion and new top from The Little Bat. The hot pants comes in five standard mesh sizes and fitted mesh models for Belleza Venus and Isis, Slink Physique and Hourglass, Maitreya Lara, and TMP bodies. Different colors come with different words emblazoned on the booty. And well, purple has always been my color. The top comes with a HUD with twelve color options to match any outfit and includes five standard mesh sizes, Belleza Venus, Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique and Hourglass, and TMP sizes. I had no issues with fit with either piece on my Maitreya body but always try a demo!

One of my friends helped me plant the flowers and set up the tent, so naturally I had to get cake for us to reward ourselves for our hard day’s work. Each cake from Dark Knight Decor comes in a version to dispense a cake slice and decor only version. I pulled out my new Deck Set from =EC Designs= to relax under the tent and eat our cake. This set has a small table, chair, and lounger in teak wood that is nice and sturdy for any type of weather. Both the chair and lounger come scripted with single female and male animations that should suit anyone’s taste. We both relaxed with our cake for the afternoon and admired the wildflowers.

The Smell of Your Skin Lingers

Hey everyone! You have one day left to get to the Cart Sale so take advantage of the sale while you still can! Today I am bringing you a lot more peeks into what you will find at the Cart Sale.

My third look is a lovely floral dress from Dark Water Designs. It only comes in standard mesh sizes but it still fit my Maitreya body well. If you aren’t a big fan of floral patterns, the dress also comes in a striped version. Either one is wonderful for new spring attire.

My last look is from :{MV}: and I have been strutting my stuff in this dress all day! Sizes included are for Maitreya, Slink Physique and Hourglass, Belleza Isis, Venus, and Freya; and a standard fit option. There are seven gorgeous colors to choose from and really at this price, it’s a bargain to grab them all for 110L. Each is 10L with the black being the special 50L item. My friend and sl daughter loved the dress too and is the one posing with me. To pair with the detailing on the neckline, I applied some nail polish from La Boheme that was also at the Cart Sale. These nails have omega appliers and one for Maitreya.

The bed that I am sitting on in my picture is The Sophisticate Bed from Dictatorshop. It is not the newest item but I really loved the look of it and the bedsheets I found were so lovely. If you’re looking for a bed that with great animations for all around use, this is a wonderful option. Individuals have plenty of poses to pick from for both genders. There are cuddles for when you just want to relax with that special someone, and then as usual the wide selection of adult animations that Dictatorshop always has. For more options in bed covers, check out the other huds available in the shop; for the goth lovers there’s even Halloween themed bedsheets. Be sure to get the right Hud for the correct bed and have fun matching your house decor! 🙂

All the other decor in the pictures are from the Cart Sale. I love the watercolors and sketches from Dark Knight Designs. Something about them scattered about the room makes it feel extra artsy. The teapot with the fern fits in well with the bedsheets I chose too. The sturdy table is from Wood Works Furniture and is nice for filling in empty corners to hold up some of your knick knacks. I also liked the little pouffe seats from The Artist Shed for a little spot to sit and look out the window. Each pouffe has a different pose and texture inspired by spring weather. My final touches to my room was to hang a fishing pole from Dixie Dandelion with little frames on the wall and to texture the empty wall with an accent pattern from Timeless Textures. Each frame has a little cheerful saying and image to brighten your mood. On the wall, the knit texture I chose looks more glittery because of the scale. It’s a beautiful texture!

She’s Real Fine… My 409

Hi again everyone! I hope your week is going well and that you’ve had time to check out the Cart Sale. If not, I will be sharing another awesome bargain you can find there. Please note, one item in this blog does have adult poses when in use.

Summer is coming up and I decided I wanted to try out some new bikinis so I am prepared for sunbathing. Of course, going for a drive with the top down is always nice too. A friend of mine let me use some his tools to make sure my car was running properly and I just had to check out the engine. Luckily for me, I had an engine crane ready because the engine needed some work. After taking a look under the hood, a few tweaks here and there, I’m ready for some racing!

Today I am wearing one of the bikinis from Mishmash Fusion that are at the Cart Sale. After one look I knew I had to have it because well, you can see how cute I look right? These swim suits hark back to the ’50s with their vintage pinup girl flare. Everything is covered up well so it’s perfect for a family day on the beach or going to the pool. The fit is nice and the bikinis are made for Maitreya, Slink Physique, Slink Hourglass, and five standard mesh sizes. Get them while they are only 10L each at the Wash Cart Sale along with the comfy cozy jammies up for grabs.

So I’m Gonna Love You Now

April is here and I am enjoying seeing flowers beginning to crop up from the ground. The showers will pour as they inevitably do, but with the rain comes new life and I’m finding I need that reminder as of late. A lot has been on my mind so I’ve been taking time to de-stress and just recharge. So I decided to take a little stroll and found a spot to relax, cuddle up with someone, and just pass the time.

This cozy spot I found is in a little gazebo made by =EC Designs=. It is for the Cart Sale at the Wash in birch and walnut for only 10L. Along with the gazebo, you get a bench, a little fountain pitcher, and a tree stump with cuddles. Not only is the set the perfect focal point for any garden, it has a multitude of single and couple animations in the bench, cuddle stump, AND the gazebo itself. Each set has a decorative tree stump and a pitcher fountain to complete the charm. 10L is a steal with all the animation options for singles and couples in each piece. My look today has a couple pieces from Luxe Box and Bishbox which are subscription boxes in secondlife. My lovely top is from Tee*fy (Lara and both Slink sizes) and my shoes are from Empire (Lara, both Slink, 3 Belleza, and TMP sizes), both in March’s Luxe Box. Both items fit well and have lovely texture options on their HUDs. On my ears you’ll find gorgeous earrings by Empyrean Forge. These come with a hud that lets you change the metal color. My hair is from Doe; I adore this hair because I love Doe’s gingers and her textures are so well done. Two sizes are included with one that is designed with larger breasts in mind. All color pack huds come in this set and you are able to change the hat color from a sizable array of options. Both earrings and hair are from March’s Bishbox. Finally, my smexy pants are Blueberry’s latest pants release. Gracie comes in a wide selection of denim and leather options for Maitreya, Slink Physique & Hourglass, all three Belleza, and TMP mesh body sizes. The fatpack has exclusive metallic colors. What is really special about these pants is that you get the option of just the pant or a version with a cute boot attached with beautiful beadwork on the heel. Metals and beads can be changed via the included HUDs. As many of us know, Blueberry makes our butts look fabulous.

The Warm Socks Hunt 2 & Gacha Event hosted by Fi’s Hunts runs from November 5-30 and it looks like the designers came up with some cozy warm goodies for the chilly weather we’re having. While I am not fond of the cold, it’s a great excuse to wear fun boots and curl up by the fire. Here’s a glimpse at what you can find in the event. Links and hunt details are at the bottom of this post.

This hunt has lots of cozy knits and Mishmash Fusion did a wonderful job with the texturing of the gift sweater dress and the gacha sweater dresses. The gift at Mishmash Fusion is a cute grey sweater dress with grey fur lined uggs and leggings (omega applier included) with detailing on the side. Myst’s gacha has several fun chevron sweater dresses that you can wear with the leggings and boots from the hunt gift. My personal favorite is the Bold Purple RARE. ❤

With the cold coming upon us, you might be looking for something to warm your house. Look no further! Well, after you find the hunt gift anyway… {Sickly SWEET} has a nice low prim fireplace to snuggle up in front of with warm crackling flames amidst freshly cut logs. I’ve adorned its mantle with other items from the event.

On the wall is a cute picture from Chiana Oh. If you have kids or are just looking to decorate for winter, this framed image would make a great focal point in any home. If you’re going out in the cold weather, try one of the Winter Warmers from Chiana Oh’s gacha machine. It comes in both a rezzable and wearable version in an assortment of styles. Dr. Who fans will be happy to spot a Doctor related one. (See it behind the monkey?) The sock monkey is one of many monkeys in a gacha from *Shabby Tabby* and are a great use of old worn out socks from winters past. I especially love *Shabby Tabby*’s gift Lumanaries; they are adorable candle holders that can be turned on and off and create a warm atmosphere. Put these little beauties anywhere you need a spot of light.
