Who Am I to Disagree?

As we near All Hallow’s Eve, the spook and eerie atmosphere around us seems to slowly grow darker and more sinister. Neighbors put out decorations that seem to watch us in the night when we return home in the dark, superstitions may seem to hold more truth than we would normally give credit, and some people don an alter ego they’ve been planning on all year.

Unlike real life, SecondLife allows us the opportunity to be who we want any time of the year, moment to moment, avatar to avatar. We create the environment we want to live in as well. A popular roleplay in SecondLife involves vampires. In fact, there are many roleplay systems devoted to vampires and werewolves in SL. Many sims are home to clans that live in giant castles and house coffins to slumber in during the day, except in sl it can be night all the time. Dictatorshop has recently been releasing pieces that make up a set perfect for any gothic enthusiast who may have an interest in vampire animations as well. Read on for more on each piece featured in this post!

The Vespera collection encompasses a range of pieces that are perfect for the bedroom or other rooms within a castle or structure of your choice. My favorite piece has to be the Vespera Bondage Bed. The texturing of the bed, ironwork, and wood is beautiful and looks fantastic in both low and high graphic settings. For those who know what to look for, they will also find a lifestyle related symbol subtly worked into the iron on the canopy of the bed. Animation menus are loaded with great poses for you and a loved one or just a friend to snuggle. There are three versions of the bed which will determine the animations you’ll be getting; PG, Adult Vanilla, and Adult Kink. One part of the bed that took me a bit to figure out was how to access the bondage menus on the Adult Kink version. If you are looking for the very adult animations on this version that are in addition to vanilla, lesbian, and threesome menus, click the footboard of the bed and choose either MaleDom or FemDom to suit your needs. A two step stool rezzes on the side of the bed that you can sit on, or use the metal rings on the bedposts, then play to your heart’s content! Today is the last day to grab it while it is at the Black Fair before it goes full price in the mainstore and marketplace.

At Ultra until November 10th, you can find the Vespera Coffin Chair, which matches the Vespera Coffin Sofa that is also pictured here. Like the bed, both the chair and sofa come in three rating levels, PG, Adult Vanilla, and Adult Kink. Only the Coffin Chair Adult Kink version has animations specifically for those who want vampire poses for “feeding” or biting in a tasteful manner. Many of the animations match what you will find in  the bed an other Dictatorshop pieces. To change the texture on the chair and sofa, click the logo in the back to change leather colors and metals. Whether you are wanting dark or bright and fun, there is something to fit in any color scheme.

Some men and women feel they are royalty and deserve a throne to fit their status. If you run a clan, the Vespera Throne is perfect for you. Not only does this throne fit in with the rest of the Vespera line, but it also has additional vampire themed animations in the Adult Kink version. Like the other pieces, get this gem in three different version depending on your animation needs. If you look closely, like the bed, the throne features lifestyle related symbols embedded into the metal of the headboard. Find it at Cosmopolitan until the event ends and it moves to the mainstore!

The last piece I have pictured is the Vespera Dragon Armoire, currently being sold at the Red Light District. Unlike the other Vespera pieces, the Armoire is RLV cage that someone can sit in and be controlled by others who click to access the menu. Menus to change textures and security access are inside the Armoire. You can change the wood texture and make the doors transparent or solid. If you’re not interested in the animations, this piece still makes a lovely decorative piece to any boudoir.

I’d Howl at Your Beauty Like a Dog in Heat

Lately life has taken me on some twists and turns, some good and some quite painful. Opportunities presented themselves. I took the plunge. Did I land on my feet? Yes. And no.

I could spin a tale about finding love…then losing it. I could write about the heartache and sadness, the pain and emptiness. But you’ve felt it, feel it, know the taste of it in your mouth and the hollowness in your chest where a strange ache never truly dies.

Gradually the pain fades when you’re not paying attention; you hardly notice because you’re so busy trying to distract yourself from the pain. How long has it been since you could breathe freely? When did your smile stop feeling forced? Brief moments of reprieve are then cut short when you remember the pain; it all comes flooding back again. Did it hurt this bad the first time? Is it maybe a little less? How do you know when you’ve healed?

I’ve been reflecting on some of the people that have come into my life recently, how I’ve spent my time with them, my words, my actions and what they’ve said and done. Recent pain has forced me to take a step back to look at what paths lay before me. Should I take the path over here that most would object to? Or do I take the route more often traveled? Do I dare tread on the one my heart is drawn to? Mistakes and lessons lie behind me but I stand at a crossroads again, not ready to make a choice just yet. Not ready to take another step until my feet are planted more firmly on the ground.

For now I work on grounding myself again, building the foundation of my soul until it can withstand any storm. One day I will be myself again. In time I’ll forget the sting. Someday I’ll smile, blow a kiss, and be on my way, flowing like water onto the next path of my journey.

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Life tends to take hold just as I get my groove back. Today I am sharing a piece from February that Dictatorshop released that I was in love with from first glance. I honestly think every woman ought to have a tantra chair in her home. The curving slope is so sensual and elegant and to me it just seems perfect for lounging. Many of the single sits are perfect for staging a surprise for your significant other too. Plenty of cuddles are included for relaxing snuggles. With plenty of adult options, you’ll not be wanting for anything except to relax after a pleasant evening of funtimes.

Just Start Loving Me

It’s been over a week since Valentine’s day. But there’s still plenty of fluff and hearts floating around the grid you wouldn’t think the day of love had passed. If you’re looking for some new furniture that has a romantic touch, there’s a few pieces from Dictatorshop that are purrfect year-round. Have a looksy at some of my new bedroom additions. My favorite part of this set is that there are bento animations that are just so adorable and too perfect for words. Like the other pieces in the set, you can change the texture of the leather and metals through the hud in the back.

Another gem that was inspired by all of the romantic ideas of Valentine’s day was the Lip Chairs and Thrones. Some Kind of Madness is Swallowing Me Whole

I apologize for my absence! A combination of real life and a bit of a down mood has kept me from posting this when I originally received the items that are featured today. Read on for what’s been floating through my mind.

We all know that there are many things that drive us crazy. Rude customers or co-workers at work. Too slow drivers or traffic on our daily commutes. Finding presents left by the dog or cat for the 100th time on the carpet. Even something simple as the sound some people make when eating can set a person’s teeth on edge. But there are very few things, in my opinion at least, that can drive us to true madness. One of those things… is love.

For very few people, the search seems easy, almost like an arrow just pointing them in the right direction. But for most people, the search is rough, almost brutal at times. We look for signs to say, “Hey, turn here, open this door” or “Turn back now, wrong turn” to show us where we are supposed to be headed and with who. And if that wasn’t enough, our search can be for many different types of love. Even if we prefer to be alone, most of us seek companionship of some kind whether with family, friendship, a lover or a pet. The search for love, that special kind of love that comes from another person we want to spend the rest of our lives with…that love can bring us to a madness like no other.

I may be a bit of a hopeless romantic. I know it’s in everything I do, everything I say. As I’ve embarked on my quest for love, I’ve hit a few potholes, skinned my knees a few times, and leaped off a cliff without really being sure of what was at the bottom of the water. Love truly can be blind and that is usually what causes most of the hardship we end up experiencing when things go wrong. As Sigmund Freud said, “We are never so defenseless against suffering as when we love.” First love is always so innocent…nothing quite like it and the heartbreak we face when we realize the other person is not 100% perfect and not a good fit feels earth shattering for some.

Well… Freud also said, “One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.” Although we lament all the hardship our hearts endure, they are strong and able to go through a lot of rough handling. It sucks, but eventually you get better at finding the right turns and all that hard work is worth it; the pain of the past lingers but not so strongly that you’re unable to find happiness again…

My main point? It’s a lot of what I’ve been talking about already. Don’t give up. Keep trudging along the rough paths, scraping your knees, and taking a tumble or two; just remember to pick yourself up and continue to move forward. Find your love whether that is a person, a cat or dog, or a group of friends who have your back. Don’t let madness swallow you.

Today I am sharing the Chesterfield Sofa, Chair and Stool. Both were at the Home Show 2017 but due to my mood and RL I was late to blog them. They are now at the mainstore and on Marketplace along with matching Bondage Benches. Personally, I love this set even more than the Contempo set that I have blogged about earlier this year. I think this is probably due to the detailing of the back cushions. Nonetheless, this set brings you all of your favorite smooth poses in the adult versions of each piece or the PG versions you can purchase if you don’t want the racy aspects.

Animations included in these pieces are as usual, superbly smooth and plentiful. Both leather and metals can be changed via the logo on the back of each piece and you can change the security of the menus as well. Poses are easy to adjust and swap for all your naughty needs. I’m Hungry… I Hope You’ll Feed Me

For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, we are finally seeing warmer temperatures and a bit of sun here and there (well at least some of us). With the warmer weather, moods are improving and getting a little more flirty. I know I am ready for some summer fun. But before that I decided I needed to update some of my furniture for when I have guests. Before reading further, please note, while there is no nudity, adult furniture is pictured below.

Made to Love: FLF, Add Some Red Hunt, and Valentine Treats

Valentine’s Day is less than a week away and I’ve been drowning in goodies so sweet you could eat them. Today I’m sharing clothing from Mishmash Fusion, =EC Designs=’s Kiss My Store hunt item, gifties from the third Add Some Red Hunt, and a couple Fifty Linden Friday deals. Details for the Add Some Red Hunt 3 are below.

Mishmash Fusion has released for February a selection of outfits inspired by the sweetheart candies popularized by Valentine’s Day. I’m currently wearing the Romantic versions of the knotted t-shirt and jean combo but there’s also Dirty and Anti-Valentine’s flavored ones as well. Guys are in luck because Mystical made Mens’ Romantic and Anti-Valentine’s t-shirt sets too! Buy each color version you like or the fatpacks. I simply adore how these tops look especially when paired with Mishmash Fusion’s Love in Itself Heels for Slink High Feet. The heels have hearts on the back and front, lending a touch of playfulness to any outfit. My nails are painted in one of American Hunni’s omega nail appliers for the Add Some Red Hunt 3. My house is decorated with lots of goodies from several events going on this month. =EC Designs= is part of the Kiss My Store hunt and are offering up the lovely sofa I’m sitting on with my sister. For the third Add Some Red Hunt, {Sickly SWEET} created a cute privacy screen with knick knacks and a lamp to put in an empty corner or to divide a room. Chiana Oh made this adorable ladybug pouffe seat that is perfect for a kids playroom or just a fun conversation piece in your home. I also discovered this cute bunny tip jar from Tipsters that I shrunk down to fit on my side table. Decor or tip jar, up to you.

For Fifty Linden Friday, I could not pass up on the Spilled Candy Hearts or the Lighted Pathway from +Half-Deer+. Piles of the sweetheart candies make for perfect kitchen decor and the lighted pathway works for a path or wall decor. {what next} released an adorable low prim bookcase and set of tables. I have been looking for a bookcase like this for awhile so this was a steal.

If you haven’t heard, Pixicat has a new Fifty Linden Friday sweater up for grabs. Winter cozy and a touch holiday themed, this sweater comes with a texture change Hud for a few color options. All standard mesh sizes are included with some of the most popular mesh body fitted versions as well. You’ll be looking fashionable at the Ugly Sweater parties with this cozy design.

Typically I steer clear of shoes that aren’t fitted for Slink or Maitreya feet, but these boots from The Sugar Garden were to die for. There’s plenty of color choices for both the base and laces but these do not come with a texture change Hud. I left The Tannenbaum Holiday Market with a pair in white and the mocha ones seen here. While you’re there, try some of the gachas for cute baubles to put on your Christmas tree or just as fun knick knacks.
