If you’re like me, you’re looking out your window and hoping to see a bit of sunshine. Are you ready for spring? I know I am. Easter is a bit early this year, inspiring visions of spring, and you can see its effects everywhere. Fi’s Hunts has a hunt going on this month called The Chicken Egg Hunt and it will continue from now until the end of the month. So I’m hopping right into some sneak peeks of goodies to share with you all!
GET FROCKED is offering an adorable blue dress for The Chicken Egg Hunt. The blue is light and soft like a clear sky. Looking closer, you’ll see the dress is covered in little prints of baby chicks. What could feel more spring-like than baby chicks? Standard fitted mesh sizes are included along with fitted meshes for the Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza bodies.
Looking to do some gardening? Simply Shelby is offering a sweet garden patch with little flowers and freshly hatched chicks. Rocks border the edges to keep things neat and tidy. This cute patch would look darling along the front of any home.
As a nice accent to any garden or just a cute decorative piece for your porch, {Sickly SWEET} designed some clay pots for this hunt. Flowers tumble out of them as they remind us that spring is on its way.

We’ve reached the end of 2015 and I must admit I am not sad to see another year go. There is magic in endings and new beginnings. Life and death continue in a constant cycle that can never be undone. Unless you’re not mortal that is. Follow me into the forests of the Fae and elves. Take each step with care; the fair folk don’t take kindly to those who can’t play by the rules…
Only two days left of the Elven Forest Hunt. I braved the maze created by the designers of =EC Designs= and managed to find all the clues to win the prize protected by the dragon at the end. If you’re feeling confident, the main maze prize is an exclusive edition of the main hunt prize. While I like the main prize, I’m always ready for a challenge, and the thought of having a prize that will never be offered again? Count me in. The Druid’s Haven is a large orb structure with a bit of magic inside. The logs and leaves all have single and couple animations. Unique to the maze version of the prize is that the crystal orb changes colors. Add this piece for an enchanting effect on your garden or hidden sanctuary.
When I think of faeries and elves, green comes to mind. The creators of some of the clothing must have thought the same. Lady Gwen’s Gown from Cheeky Parrot Boutique is a beautiful robed gown with a hood for those nights when you need to cast a little love spell on that certain someone or brewing potions kept in bottles from Independent Objects…er I mean seek Mother Gaia’s help in the prosperity of the garden…A men’s cloak is also included. Get Frocked has a cute dress with an elf on the skirt; it’s not too formal so it’s nice for exploring in the woods or on the beach barefoot much like the elves do. Add a pair of heels or foot gems and you’re set for a Fae wedding.
Elsewhere in the world, in lands where snow covers the floor, what do the faeries wear? Ollies Follies created a short dress that fits snugly on the body. Boots and a men’s tunic is included, but you may want to look for some pants to keep your bum warm. Snow faeries aren’t bothered by the cold and rest in snow flowers like the one I’m sitting in. The flower from Love Everlasting Plantpets is animated with a few different sits and snowflakes swirling down from the sky. It’s perfect for winter decor in a garden empty of spring blooms to give hope for new life to come.

I’ve recently stopped by a few places like Arcade and The Tannenbaum Holiday Market for winter and Christmas themed decor and other goodies
If you haven’t heard, Pixicat has a new Fifty Linden Friday sweater up for grabs. Winter cozy and a touch holiday themed, this sweater comes with a texture change Hud for a few color options. All standard mesh sizes are included with some of the most popular mesh body fitted versions as well. You’ll be looking fashionable at the Ugly Sweater parties with this cozy design.
Typically I steer clear of shoes that aren’t fitted for Slink or Maitreya feet, but these boots from The Sugar Garden were to die for. There’s plenty of color choices for both the base and laces but these do not come with a texture change Hud. I left The Tannenbaum Holiday Market with a pair in white and the mocha ones seen here. While you’re there, try some of the gachas for cute baubles to put on your Christmas tree or just as fun knick knacks.
Also check out Collabor88 for some fantastic winter decor and clothing. The woodstove and a lot of the associated decor are from {what next} which really suited my living room. Warm up your hands and set the kettle on the stove for hot cocoa. Don’t forget to hang your stockings for Santa to fill!
The Arcade also has fun winter and holiday items along with the Season of Giving gifts from participating merchants. Right now I’m wearing one of Spellbound’s gacha hairs that comes in two hat versions (Blizzard or Chilly), and varying hair colors. Both hairs will keep your head warm and looking cute with the attached hat.

We ❤ RP will be closing soon to get ready for the next round. I, as always, always find lots of neat things each month and had to share a few finds with you. Although this look lacks wings, it still plays with my Faerie nature of wonder and magic.
I was immediately entranced with this little dress by .Moon Amore. because of the playful cut and color. The dress comes with a Hud to change between two colors on various sections such as the skirt, the mesh skirt overlay, ruffles on the top, and ribbons. I usually wear a size M but the skirt actually looks better a size up for me.
The mesh eyes I’m wearing from [Bentbox] are really neat because of how much you can customize them. Size, rotation, position are fairly standard but it’s nice how the Hud for movement controls are laid out. There’s also a dilation Hud that gives you the option of a few fixed pupil sizes or automatic dilation. But the BEST part is the color customization Hud. Not only are there plenty of eye colors, solera colors, and the option to tint the solera, iris, and pupil, but there’s also buttons to activate the right or left eye separately! I absolutely love that these mesh eyes offer an endless array of combos. For designers, the developers kit was included as well.
Plastik, or The Plastik, creates outstandingly beautiful designs. The intricate detail of this ring set looks flawless and includes many gem and metal options on the Hud. Note that this set is designed for Maitreya hands and Slink Casual Hands. While you don’t get to tint the gems to your own colors, there’s plenty of choices to match anything you will be wearing (or not if that’s your style lol). I had fun with these rings. 🙂
Lastly, I adore the pose set done by the collaboration of Miwa and .Nomore. poses. The crystal I’m holding is included in a copy designed to match each of five poses. I’ve featured three of my favorite poses. Cute and fun, it would make a great addition for anyone who loves magic. ❤

One of my favorite shops is called Blueberry. A friend of mine introduced me to her clothing (thank you Sarah!) after I’d bought my Maitreya Lara body and I am HOOKED! She recently had a 50% sale on two of her newer items; leather pants and a cute dress. I had already purchased a pair of the leather pants in purple (because that’s my favorite color lol) but with a 50% sale…How can a girl resist? This time I got them in Midnight. Rene is a sexy cute set of leather pants that is super flattering for any shape. My butt has never looked better. Lol I love that Blueberry includes fitted versions for the major mesh body types like Maitreya, all Belleza bodies, and Slink. These pants also include a tucked in version (all sizes and fitted meshes as well) for wearing with boots. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s a HUD to change the color of the metal buttons. All of this for a normal price of 199L per color. That’s 20 different sizes and a HUD. I’d say that is a steal. The top I’m wearing is the current group gift at Bluberry and also comes with all sizes and fitted meshes along with a HUD with several color options. Both the pants and top are so cute and well made, which is something that comes as no surprise. Every piece Blueberry does is made with love and care.
The jacket I’m wearing is from the Birdy Collective from Foxes. It is currently at Collabor88 but not for much longer. There are four plain colors and four jackets with a print on the back which are designed to go with a dress that is also available in several colors at Collabor88. Included are all standard sizes and fitted mesh for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. An optional hood comes with the jacket in various sizes and fitted mesh. I love the fit of this jacket so much I probably won’t be taking it off any time soon. Get yours at Collabor88 while you can and the many other lovely goodies.

Every month, the designers at We ❤ RP astound me with their creativity and craftsmanship. I have a few favorite designers but this fair/market is a wonderful assembly of talented creators that I love to discover. Several pieces from this outfit are from this round of We ❤ RP. Most are current or past We ❤ RP contributors. It’s such an amazing gathering of talent that there just is not enough room in one blog to praise them all; so I will just have to highlight a few. 🙂
I will confess that the first item I bought from this month’s fair was…ehem… the owl/cat/gryphon you see sitting on my shoulder. In fact, I bought two color versions because they are simply too adorable to pass up and I may have to buy another one. These cute blended creatures are animated and come with both a wearable shoulder pet AND a rezzable version. Fair warning, you will not be able to quit cooing over their animations.
My shirt/romper/thing (what would you call it? o.o) is a lovely piece by Azuchi. It comes with several sizes including fitted for some mesh bodies e.g. Maitreya and Belleza. The textures on this piece are exquisite and realistic; the material looks just like leather. I am looking forward to seeing what else I can find from them. Only issue I had was some of my thigh peek through when I move from the fabric not lining up with my alpha slices, but nothing too revealing or noticeable. I’m sure with a small shape mod it would be fixed on my end.
Wings have always been fun for me to play with because one of my roleplay characters is half Fae. Any wings I find that are unique become a must have and Material Squirrel designed a set that appeals to my darker side. A light colored set is also available. The wings are mesh, come with a color change hud, and a hud that allows the user to change size, movement on/off, movement speed, and to hide them. I love that I can make them hide upon landing and the durability. They are not flexy wings. They are not flimsy wings. These wings exude power and strength only achieved through hard work and lots of flying. Well done Material Squirrel.
Lastly, I would like to mention the boots which are a past We ❤ RP item made by Moon Elixir. You see only the tops of them in the image, but trust me (or check my flickr image here) these boots are kick ass. Thigh high, laced up, and with the option of tassels, these boots are rock solid and perfect for any adventure one may embark on. As always with Moon Elixir, these boots come with a Hud with lots of color and metal options for the smaller pieces. With lots of color choices, you’re sure to find a pair you’ll love.

This post is inspired by the tragedy of the shooting at Umpqua Community College on October 1st and the heroics of those who strove to stop it. I also drew inspiration from the Norse legends that those who die honorably are brought to Asgard and Valhalla in the arms of a Valkyrie. I feel that all those killed in this tragic manner ought to be remembered for the good they did and hoped for in this world rather than the terrible way their lives ended. In these pictures I take on the form of a Valkyrie swooping down to Earth for the souls of the honorably fallen. Despite our differences, we are all human. This event brought much sadness yet again into the world. My thoughts go out to the UCC community.
