The Conscience in Me Drowned, I Want to Be Your Guide, Into the Afterlife

The Conscience in Me Drowned, I Want to Be Your Guide, Into the Afterlife

Wind howls like that of a lone Wolf on a moonless night,
Crying out for a long lost lover, companion, a friend.
Not a soul replies in the darkness,
Not a soul dares breathe.
Silence echoes loudly, defeaningly, devoid of the warmth of Life.

A shift in the wind stirs the trees,
Heralding something New with its song.
Spectral spirits float to and fro,
Dancing a dance only the unliving know.

Well, They Dress Her up in Golden Crowns, His Smile Hides a Lie

Afraid of our power,
They lock us in old towers,
Dreaming of dancing in fields of flowers.

Despite the lack of sun,
Our minds will not come undone,
For our story has only just begun.
